What is a labyrinth? A labyrinth is a winding path within a circle that takes you from the outside into the center and then back out again. Unlike a maze, which often creates confusion, there is only one path in and out of a labyrinth.
Labyrinths and spirals are found in many cultures and are used for personal and spirual growth. The Peace Labyrinth, known as a seven-circuit classical or cretan-style labyrinth, is the oldest known labyrinth design.
Labyrinth Etiquette:
Walk at your own pace
Feel free to pass others
Allow others to pass
Pause whenever you like
Feel free to sit on the stones in the center and remain for awhile
Be aware of your surroundings
How to walk the Peace Labyrinth: There is no right or wrong way to walk the labyrinth. Walking the labyrinth is a personal journey. Remember to be attentive to yourself and your surroundings. You don't have to move anything (stones) or tear anything apart. Obey all the park rules. No parking on the grass. Have Fun!
