This cache is placed in honor of Hawkeyetob's 1000th cache find on 9/3/12.
In addition to finding over 1000 caches, the family has placed 21(and counting) caches, including 4 earth caches, around the Fayette County area. The best part about it, is that only 2 of them are micros! I get excited when a Hawkeyetob cache is published because I know that I will never be let down, and the FTF prizes are usually worth competing for! Whenever people ask for cache suggestions in the area, theirs are the first that come to mind as they have some great hides! Their most favorited cache hides are "Area 52!?!" and "Kellonto."
Through caching, the Hawkeyetob family have become friends of ours over the last 2+ years. I always enjoy stopping in Mr. Hawkeyetob's office to chat about our most recent caching adventures. To this date, the family's only down-fall is that they are avid Iowa Hawkeye fans!
About the cache: You are seeking a traditional silver ammo can in honor of Hawkeyetob's 1000th cache find! It's a short jaunt from parking, but it's uphill and through woods so shorts are not recommended. You will be required to cross a stream in which you should be able to stay dry, unless there is high water. The cache is loaded with good swag. Please trade fairly.
