Geocache Description:

GET GREEN & CLEAN
at
The Pinnacle Mtn. State Park Great Arkansas Cleanup!

Pinnacle Mtn. State Park is providing a great opportunity for geocachers to come together to make a big impact as part of the Great Arkansas Cleanup.

What?

This CITO event is for geocachers to work with other volunteers and participate in the Great Arkansas Cleanup at Pinnacle Mtn. State Park. Geocachers participating in this CITO event will be responsible for scraping and painting picnic tables in the park. The Park will provide all scrapers, paintbrushes, and paint. Volunteers just need to bring a willingness to work! And maybe some work gloves and clothing suitable for wearing while painting! Also, don’t forget water, sunscreen, insect repellant, etc.

Where?

Pinnacle Mtn. State Park – We will meet at the West Summit Picnic Area next to the playground for registration and to pick up supplies. (See the coordinates above)

When?

Saturday, September 22nd. Geocachers should arrive at the park by 8:45 AM, to register with the Park and sign the CITO logsheet. The work portion of the CITO will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Afterwards, we will join the other volunteers at one of the Park’s pavilions for a hot dog lunch (provided by the Park) and a chance to socialize, trade trackables, and swap stories. All activities should be complete by 12 Noon, giving you plenty of daylight to do some geocaching!

NOTE: For the scope of work we will be responsible for, we need at least 20 volunteers. And more than that would be even better! Please come out and give some of your time to make a difference to your State Park!
