A paddle-in-only destination situated near Bamfield, British Columbia.
While the map shows this cache to be on/in water, once you reach the destination you'll see that you'll be able to spare yourself a swim. To reach the spot you'll want to launch your kayak from Port Desire or Bamfield. From there it's about a 45 minute paddle. This is not a difficult paddle. We made it there with kids. However, you'll want to check the tide table and wind forecasts as conditions can vary and can make your outing more difficult. We do not recommend trying this trip with a small motor boat. The entrance to the inlet near Dixon Island is very shallow. Once you have reached the destination it should be fairly easy to spot it. This is quite possibly one of the most beaitiful places where a geocache has ever been placed, I'd guess. On the way there you're likely to spot whales, bears, etc. The cache originally contained little of value. The trip there is the true treasure.
