Geocache Description:

The 12/12/12 Days of Cachemas!

mommanherJs and Sycamore90 were talking about the lack of events in our area, so we decided to put on a cachemas bash for 12/12/12! We are hoping this event will be so EPIC that cachers will remember how much fun they had here and start hosting more events in town.

WHAT:

What better way to celebrate geocaching than with a Cachemas Bash on 12/12/12! Stop by this early evening event, 5:30pm-6:30pm. There are three ways to participate:

Cache and Dash: Stop by to sign the log and be on your way. For those cachers who don't have much time but want a 12/12/12 cache.
Be a cachin' Elf: Bring something for the cache gift exchange, stay and visit awhile.
Be a cachin' Cook: Bring an appetizer to share, have some snacks and enjoy cachin' friends.

WHERE:

Purdue Village Community Center, 50 Nimitz Drive, West Lafayette, Indiana. It's the big brick building next to Squirrel Park. Cache coords take you to the front door. Plenty of free parking in the parking lot. This area is one block south of Purdue West Shopping Center and accessible via Airport Road.

WHY:

Like we said, Tippecanoe County needs more event caches. Stop by to meet old caching friends and make new ones. Cache on!

HOW:

Download the coords and point your cachemobile toward good times on 12/12/12. Join us for some snacks and appetizers. Meet local and regional cachin' legends and a few FTF hounds. Bring trackables to share or trade if you want, or just stop by to sign the log. It's up to you. Honey Badger Don't Care.

OPTIONAL GIFT EXCHANGE:

For those who want to participate, bring a small wrapped geocaching-related item for the gift table. Everyone who puts in a gift will get a number, then we draw numbers and you pick a gift from the table.

NAUGHTY AND NICE LIST:

Please post whether or not you can attend. mommanherJs and Sycamore90 will send the naughty and nice list to Santa and his Elf prior to the event. If we get enough nice cachers, Santa might make an appearance for the big and little kids alike!

GEOCOIN ENTHUSIASTS: 12-12-12 COIN AVAILABLE!

Cache_Kitty will have a special 12-12-12 coin for sale at the Cachemas Bash that will be trackable at geocaching.com! She will host her own event "12-12-12 Multi-Event: Indiana" from 6:30pm-7:30pm! She will also bring some of her awesome coin collection for viewing during her coin event.

12-12-12 Multi Event: Indiana

A celebration of the 12th day, of the 12th month, of the 12 year of this century.

The numbers have aligned and probably for the last time for most of us! Geocachers all over the world will be celebrating this alignment. There will be approximately fifty 12-12-12 events held world wide as a part of this global celebration.

A special EVENT GEOCOIN will be available, for $12.00, that celebrates this 12-12-12 worldwide Multi Event. It is a HUGE 2 inch, 12 sided limited edition, trackable geocoin designed especially for the 12-12-12 events around the world. Each location, including Indiana will have its own unique coin color scheme. Actual coin pictures will be available at a later date.
