Geocache Description:

This is the 3rd of 7 caches I've placed in the New Hartford area.

The New Hartford Veteran's Memorial was dedicated on Memorial Day 2012; 4 Memorial Days after the F5 tornado that hit Parkersburg and New Hartford.  The  memorial was designed and built by Bill Close.  He spoke at the dedication of a "new sense of community being fostered throughout New Hartford."  The many volunteers beautified the memorial and keep it maintained.  I first met the mayor, John M. Anderson, and some volunteers at this park while contemplating "planting" some geocaches here.  None of them knew what geocaching was, but they were all for it.  They hope geocaching will bring more visitors to their town.  The memorial honors all Veterans and their families, even if they are not from New Hartford.

This is a camo covered pill bottle.  There is a little green for the FTF.  Use stealth and enjoy the hunt.  Snow cover could make the rating on this one a little more difficult.  (Grass seed was put down before I placed this one, so try not to walk in too much of the dirt...........if possible!)
