Geocache Description:

Do not go to the above coordinates. You would be on UWGB property and Geocaching is not allowed there. All of your measurements will start from this point. Measurements for this puzzle are approximations and are reflcted in the coordinate checker. Solving "Then Shortcut This - Adding To The Mayhem GC3ZCA1" first, will give you the first step in solving this cache.

As with all of the Shortcut Puzzles, 5/8 and 1/4 are the clues to solving them. ks9wi started it all with - Shortcut This Puzzle!!! GC1M2JB. Soon after Bartrod got into the game with - Then Shortcut This Too! (II?) GC1PJAK. That cache has been archived but Bartrod came up with a newer version - Then Shortcut This Too! (II?) - V2.0 GC2VHNG. Eventually Northwoods Tom posted - Then Shortcut This (For The Triple Play) GC27XAT. I decided to add my own - Then Shortcut This - Adding To The Mayhem GC3ZCA1. Here is another installment in the series. gotta shortcut (where's his version?) when you can. ;-)

N44 31.740 + 5/8 - 5/8 (or - 5/8 + 5/8) W87 55.207 + 1/4 - 1/4 (or - 1/4 + 1/4) = The Final

As you can see, you will have to add, and then subtract (or vice versa) each of the fractions from each half of the given coordinates to find the final. Problem is, how to interpret the fractions. The process used will be the same for each half. Trying to solve Northwoods Tom version gave me the idea for this one. His........and mine.......are not related. At least I don't believe they are since I have not solved his.

As of 8-16-13 I have expanded the correct coordinate area from 12 to 30 meters. So now one might get a green light from numbers that are not right on, but will now have a slightly larger area to search. Once at the site just look for the obvious hiding spots.
