This event cache is one of eleven monthly events during 2012, held to celebrate New Mexico's Statehood Centennial.
We've been north, south, central, and finally, we will be going east in November.
As part of each of these monthly events, there will be one special Centennial Cache which will contain a clue to the final Centennial Puzzle Cache. The solution to the puzzle will be easy--if you have all the clues!--and the puzzle cache will be released in December 2012.
Get ready to have some fun and learn some history in Curry County, New Mexico. There will be 50+ new caches to find in addition to the >100 caches already placed around the county. (PS: Bring a calculator if you don't have one on your phone or GPS).
The plan: meet up at 9:30 am at the park by the Hillcrest Park Zoo.
NOTE: Location has changed from previous years in order to be closer to where the new caches are hidden, and to provide better cell reception for those that need to use a help line. Sorry, but this location does not have restroom facilities or electrical power. Please take care of personal business before coming to the park.
At 10:00 am, event info will be given out. Then, meet back at the park by 3:00 for prizes and a potluck picnic. I will provide meat for the BBQ. I'll have plates and napkins, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and mayo. Attendees, bring side dishes, drinks, desserts, buns, flatware, etc.
Please indicate what you'll contribute and how many are in your group in your "Will Attend" log.
Also, since this a low budget event, please bring a prize to donate that you would be willing to win for a door prize ticket.
