Geocache Description:

This is a multicache which can be part of a circular walk. Depending on your route or speed it takes about 1.5-2hrs and you would walk about 5km. The walk is mostly along gravelled paths suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The clues are all within Bushy Park but the cache is outside.

There are two Woodland Gardens within Bushy Park, separated from the main park by fencing to keep out the deer. They are lovely gardens, quite different from the main deer park, and very popular with families. Within the gardens are walks, wildlife, lakes and streams. There are places to picnic. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens and young children must be supervised. The gardens are open from about 9am and close at dusk. The vehicle gates for the whole park closes at 19.00 in winter and later in summer. Parking is available in two car parks in the park. Once you have the answers to the questions the co-ordinates for the cache are N51 24.bd(a-1) W00 21.(c+2)(e-1)(f+a) The cache is a magnetic key safe. Once you have found the cache you can either retrace your steps or complete the circle by walking on to Hampton Gate at N51 24.685 W00 21.292 The circular walk will then take you past a house with a blue plaque for Alan Turing at N51 24.914 W00 21.572 http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/people/alan_turing Also Garrick’s House and opposite it Garrick’s Temple N51 24.751 W00 21.526 http://www.twickenham-museum.org.uk/detail.asp?ContentID=287
