Usein kätköillessä ulkomailla (tai kotimaassa) huomaa, että maan kätkökulttuuri on erityinen. Purkit ovat tietyntyyppisiä, tai tietynlaisia kätköjä suositaan. Joskus jopa kätköjen luokitukset eroavat radikaalisti. On opettavaista tutustua eri maiden kätkökulttuureihin ja oppia niistä omia kätköjä tehdessään. Huonona puolena vain on, että täytyy matkustaa. Mutta ei hätää, tämä kätkösarja esittelee sinulle eri maiden kätköilykulttuureja koto-Suomessa. Huomioithan, että tämän sarjan kätköt ovat parin geokätköilijän näkemyksiä eri maiden kätkökulttuureista.

Tämä kätkö
Vaikka tämän sarjan idea on esitellä kätköilykulttuuria muualta kuin Suomesta niin kyllähän yksi kulttuurielämys pitää myös Suomesta esitellä. Etelä-Karjalan kätkökuvauksia lukiessa varmasti moni on huomannut, että kuvauksen alussa on melkeinpä aina banneri. Huhutaan jopa, että Etelä-Karjalassa ennen itse kätköä on jo olemassa banneri :-). Tämän bannerihuuman karjalaisissa kolleegoissa sai aikaan kätköiljänimimerkki ruotsla. Onhan se tietenkin niin, että kuva kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa.

Cache Culture - Banner - South Karelia, Finland

When caching abroad you will often discover that the cache culture differs from your home country. Geocaches are certain types, or certain types of caches are favored. Sometimes even the cache ratings differ radically. It is educative to explore the cache cultures of different countries and learn from them, when hiding your own caches. Only downside is that you need to travel. But do not worry, this series introduces you to the cache cultures in different countries here in Finland. Please note that this series of caches are made with views of cache cultures by couple of geocachers.

This cache
Although the idea of this cache serie is to introduce cache culture from abroad we would like to introduce one cache culture from Finland too. If you check South Karelian cache description you will notice that most of them has a banner. There's even rumours that in South Karelia banner is ready even before the cache itself :-). This tradition for using banners in cache descriptions originates from geocacher nick ruotsla. Well the picture is worth more than thousands words they say.

DO NOT change the hiding method of this cache, so that others after you will receive the corresponding caching experience.
