Geocache Description:

Merry Christmas Mister Greenthumb!

I met Mister Greenthumb and Sunshine at GC2JK23 Have a Very Merry Breakfast in 2010, my second event. We had corresponded before this as Mister Greenthumb had noticed that I was a newbie in need of some guidance and had given me some suggestions. When I got to the event they were both very friendly and my kids were thrilled by the Christmas ornaments and other goodies that they were giving out. What generosity! I very much enjoyed this event, it was there that I met quite a few geocachers that have since become friends. Mister Greenthumb and Sunshine both were very encouraging as I stumbled my way through my first geocaching adventures, on my way to becoming the obsessive geocacher that I am today. I always thought of them as my geocaching mentors. They have done much to support the geocaching community in the area. They have hidden over 400 geocaches, talk about giving back! Some of those caches are PNG's but many of them have unique containers or bring attention to local history or areas of interest. There's something for every kind of cacher if you're hunting for Mister Greenthumb and Sunshine's caches. They've also hosted or helped with quite a few events of their own or with the WGA and have given encouragement to plenty of newbie cachers.

Back at the beginning of 2012 I heard that these two were trying to fill in the days on their calendar this year (a goal I'm working on as well) but that Christmas was the toughest for them to get out and find a cache with family visiting. Right then I resolved that I was going to hide a cache for them in their own stomping grounds to make it easier on them to fill in that day. But this turned out to be no easy task as just about every tree, rock, stop sign or bus bench in Sussex already has a cache in it thanks to these two! I've managed to find just a little bit of space to hide these tribute caches to thank these two excellent people for all they've done for the geocaching community in the area.

How about a nice, easy puzzle to wish Mister Greenthumb a merry Christmas!
