Geocache Description:

A fun little multi cache.  The log book is what you seek. The first stage will take you on a little hunt for a bison. The bison has some information that will help you on your journey. THe history room is open on the following hours,

Monday-Friday 10:00am until 3:00pm

Saturday 10:00am until 2:pm

Sunday Closed.  Please be sure to visit during these hours.

PLease note there is a trackable that will stay with the cache. PLease do not remove or take the trackable. It is a discover only. This is another clue as to what you are looking for. Have you ever had one of those days when the weather just wont let you get out and hike like you want?  Or one of those days when you want to go relax and read a book.  Today as the rain was coming down we went to one of our favorite local places.  The Richland County History Room, located in the Brewer Public Library.   http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~richlandcowi/index.htm  The link will take you to the History room.  Once you arrive please sign the log book that is kept on the table to your left as you enter. This is not the cache that you seek. Just a way for the history room to keep track of the numbers that come in.

The history that is held within the room is all local to the county.  There are thousands of photos as well as a display from the Oldest High School Band in the state.  Please take time to enjoy part of our local history.

Now for the fun stuff.  You are seeking to become part of local history.  Historically people have left a signature on something. Over time the items that have been signed gain value.  We all look back to the cave writings to try and learn about our early ancestors.  You are searching for a way to leave your name in history here.  Back in the old days before computers we had to look up things the oldfashion way.  Time has stood still here in the history room and that could be your clue.

This cache was placed with the permission of Crystal Foley Richland County Historian.  Please respect the room and if you have any questions or need a nudge feel free to ask for the location.
