dragonflyisaac: Sadly, it appears this cache got swiped. We'll put out another one someday soon enough, but for now, we'll just sigh and send this one to the archive status. :-(

Geocache Description:

Great find during a stroll through a pathed park, or visit to the in-stones-throw skatepark, ball fields/courts, or pool. Easy-peasy terrain, but watch for muggles!

This cache was placed in honor of dragonflyisaac's beloved pet rat, Aardvark.  She's been a loving little sidekick to him since the day we brought her home when she was young.  She's now over two years old (getting up there in rat years!) and devoping tumors and a frailer little body.  She's lovey, lick-lick-licks everyone, is a cuddly, nestle-y little thing, and dragonflyisaac adores her in turn with something nearing obsession.  They're two peas in a pod, and have spent hundreds of afternoons with her nestled in his shirt or perched jovially on his shoulder.  If you still think rats are yucky, please know that she doesn't smell bad (males can, the girlies don't when the cage is reasonably maintained), she's 100% litter-box trained, comes when called, and is highly affectionate and docile--and loves children!  She'd a good girl. :-)  Anyway, this cache is all about her, and just like her, this it's small and full of love and fun for all ages--a big treat in a tiny package!  dragonflyisaac isn't very old himself, and LOVES caches with stuff in them, so we intend to keep this one stocked with tiny tradeables.  If you have the chance to plan ahead, grab something small like a marble, ring, polished stone, cool button, toy soldier, etc. to swap, and if you don't have anything on hand, come out and find it and enjoy a pleasant little town, anyway (we love it here!), and a family-and-pet-friendly, fun cache. When putting it back, plese mind to make sure the lid and any baggie zips inside are secure and completly on/zipped well, and tuck it back carefully in place to prevent it from being easily spotted by muggles. Thanks for your care and intrest, and enjoy! Update- Miss Aardvark passed away peacefully on March 17th in recovery after tumor removal surgery. Dragonflyisaac misses her quite a bit, and his heart is aching a bit with the loss of his furry little sidekick. He'd be pleased to know Aardvark's memory is furthering as fellow cachers continue to enjoy her special cache. Enjoy it in good spirits for those pets we all have held dear!

If I got the coords right, this should be a fairly easy find (I use my phone's gps, which can be a little close-but-no-cigar at times.  I did turn it off and off and on and went back and forth to it quite a bit to develop coords that seemed to be the most common reading from my phone's gps; I'm hoping that helps with the accuracy. Please feed me some better coords or your device is more reliable and mine are too far off).  If the coords are a bit off, it's not like there's a bajillion places to look in the general vicinity, so hopefully it's not too hard and frustrating in the meantime before improved coords come along--just keep in mind that it's NOT on anyone's private property, please mind to leave nearby homes and yards alone, thanks! Have a great time and God Bless!
