Geocache Description:

This cache was placed in conjunction with the Bushcraft Survival Series program on Navigation through Hartman Reserve Nature Center.  In this program, participants experience using compasses, maps, landscape and GPSr units for navigation. http://www.hartmanreserve.org/

The cache is located on the Rotary Reserve along the Cedar River.  The cache may be accessed either through the Reserve or through the access from Ford Road (note the two sets of parking coordindates).

Getting to the cache will require just under a two mile hike (round trip) from the Rotary Reserve parking coordinates, all of which is on a trail other than the last 40-50 feet.

From the parking coordinates on Ford Road, this will require a hike of about 2 1/4 miles (round trip), however, about 1/3 of this hike will be completely off any established trails.  If you choose this route, you can also stop by Footloose (GC3EX7X), which is right on the way.

Take the time to enjoy this area while seeking this cache.  You will see lots of wildlife, plants and natural features, including oxbow lakes on the way to this cache.  Please be respectful of the area and if you can, remove any trash that my have been washed it or left by others.
