The first challenge here is navigating your way BENEATH the Wisconsin Ave. bridge. There you'll find 2 parking spots at a trailhead. You are looking for a small, black, container. I performed a major trash collection here at the time I placed the cache and as always, encourage you to practice CITO as often as possible.
Congratulations to geographic3117 for being the first to find!
PAGS stands for Park and Grab Series. My criteria for the series is that GZ is no more than a short walk from free parking. Some will be very easy and some, I hope, will challenge even seasoned geocachers.
Originally, this was a 1/1 PnG. However, Bec and Wiskid both told me that no new geocaches will be approved if they are on, under, or near any bridges that carry vehicular traffic. So...I hope you enjoy the short hike which involves decending the stairs at the parking coordinates and a very short hike to GZ. This is a precious little area for wildlife to call home in the midst of a busy, urban valley. I have a few friends who work at Miller and I live just a few blocks from here. I've ridden my bike through this area down to Valley Park in the neighborhood called, Pigsville, many times. When I first moved here in March of 2010, my daughter and I rode our bikes to find the cache that was there. It has since been archived. UPDATE as of December 2014. There are many new geocaches in this area.
Each time I've visited here, I've collected a couple bags of trash but more is needed. I encourage everyone to practice CITO whenever possible.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Michael Sieger of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. If placing a cache on DNR-managed land, please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at http://www.wi-geocaching.com/hiding Thank you to everyone for visiting my caches!
