One of my favorite movies as a kid was "Stand By Me". After watching the movie, I had nightmares of being caught on the middle of that train bridge and hearing the train whistle off in the distance (well... that and finding a dead kid along the railroad tracks, but that's a story for another day). It was time to run for my life! Luckily, much like Wil Wheaton in the movie, I was always able to jump off the bridge in the nick of time to safety in my dream!
Now is your chance to have that same excitement on a former train bridge, in Belleville, on the Badger State Trail. Luckily the only thing that may cause you to run in terror is the occasional muggle on a bike or jogging on the trail! Be sure to look for the hanging shoes while on your search. UPDATE: The shoes are no longer hanging... they've been there for years and within the last month they are gone, so you want to start on the north side of the bridge, look up and find the center of the northern most the "X" above you (and you'll know that you are close to GZ)!
Enjoy the view of the Sugar River, and please do not stand on top of the wood railings to retrieve the cache (it will not be needed). It is quite a distance down to the water.
