Geocache Description:

WWFM X

World Wide Flash Mob #10

"Dance of the Vaders"

WWFM X

Celebrating 10 Flashings of

Geocaching Flash Mobs!

WWFM X

(You definitely want to add this event to your "watchlist" for late-breaking announcements.)

We are hosting this caching event to bring together geocachers and to introduce new people to the hobby. We will converge at the DELANO CLOCK TOWER for an exciting DANCE OF THE DARTH VADERS!

A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.

This is a part of the World Wide Flash Mob X occurring simultaneously around the globe organized by Team PodCacher. Check out a list of all of the other scheduled WWFM X events that will occur simultaneously around the whole planet.

WHAT TO DO:

Show up early. Get a parking spot near the Delano Clock Tower in Wichita, and INCONSPICUOUSLY wander around the area. Wander around and "act normal" but not at the Tower. For the Flash Mob to have its full effect, we must appear to come from nowhere and disappear just as quickly.

At precisely, exactly, right on the button, slap on the dot, straight-up 12:00 NOON the magic happens. The event must begin AT 12:00 NOON Central Daylight Time (NOON, Wichita GPS Time) on Saturday, MAY 4th. At exactly NOON, the music will start and the Dance of the Vaders shall commence around the Delano Clock Tower in the Wichita Delano District. All who want to participate, whether you have on a Vader costume or a different costume or no costume at all, may gather in a ring and "put your right foot in".

At precisely 12:15 PM, disperse! and the event officially will be over. Walk away. Find some place to remove your costume. And the Dancing Vaders will disappear. This is how a Flash Mob works.

If any muggles are curious about the event we will have volunteers handing out fliers that explain geocaching. ( example fliers )

We hope to gather a "good showing" of cachers at this event. Tell your friends and help promote the event. Bring them along, they do not have to be geocachers to enjoy the Flash Mob.

(In the event of rain, you're going to get wet.)
