Geocache Description:

This event will be held at DJ's Dugout in the Piano Room, at 114th & Dodge in Omaha. Training starts at 12:30 PM, and will continue to 3PM. Come earlier, if you want to eat.  You are not required to purchase any food, yet, the room is provided at no charge. DJs has a full menu. There is free WI-FI at this location, yet, feel free to bring your own Mi-Fi, incase DJs Wi-Fi can not handle all of the laptops and other devices. DJs would like to have a count of the number of participants... Please use the "Will Attend" if at all possible.

This session can include the following topics.
GSAK 8 geocaching.com access features
Searching
Installing and setting up basic macros from GSAK site
GSAK topics from the audience.
How to use a macro to load up a NUVI and most Garmin handhelds.
If there is interest, How to export from GSAK to load iPlunder on the Apple iPhone or iPads through dropbox.
Will talk about setup up of pocket queries in geocaching.com, if some cachers are struggling with that feature.

GSAK is a very powerful and versatile program. The objective of this session is to give the geocacher an idea of how the program can be used, and create ideas of how the geocacher can use this program on their geocaching adventure. The biggest adventure is getting GSAK setup the way you want to use it. After that, GSAK is routine and easy to use. If all topics are not covered, and there is an interest, there will be another event at a later date.

This is not required, yet, if you have not looked at the GSAK program, please install on your laptop or computer from the GSAK website, before you arrive to the session, and check GSAK over, then bring questions to the session. FYI, you must have a premium account on geocaching.com to create pocket queries and be able to import the pocket queries into GSAK 8. GSAK 8 does have a free trial period.

I have given this event a difficulty rating of 3, due to the fact that GSAK is a difficult program to use until you get to know it.

See you all there.
