gpsfun: As reported on April 26, 2018, the relocation of this cache has placed it too close to another cache, GC7A1NM: Ochre Court. It will be necessary to relocate the physical cache to ensure a 528 foot separation from any other caches.

Since there has been no action since that time, the cache page has remained disabled for nearly four months and is now being archived.

Geocache Description:

One of Newport's top tourist attractions, the Cliff Walk has been upgraded with new fencing and even has accessible toilets!! Park on Narragansett (Metered, toilets) or close to the cache on Webster. Fantastic ocean views on this 2 mile long walk above the ocean. Cache has been on the walk since 2002, and is a perennial favorite.

A great location for out of town visitors and families looking for a beautiful, historic, and scenic ocean walk close to all the amenities of Newport. This micro cache (magnetic key holder) is hidden out of sight but easily found with clue. Take the time to do the entire route and visit some of the famous mansions. Crowds will be present in the summer so try not to be obvious - pretend you dropped something or are tying your shoe!! Note - Newport now charging for parking in summer on Narragansett Ave but this is a quick find so your choice!! Limited parking is free on Webster - 1 block south, and where the cache is located . No cache capacity. Bugs may not fit. Toilets now on Narragansett Ave near walk!!!! This is one of a series of 5 caches I have placed along the coast with fabulous ocean views.
