The Garland County Parks Commission has asked
S.W.A.G. to move our CITO to Transportation Plaza.
The project will consist of weeding, planting, and mulching the trailhead landscape area and the planting beds along the trail between the Depot and Grand Ave. In addition for those who may prefer to pick up trash, that will be an option as well.
The event will start at 9:00 AM and end around 12:00 PM.
Most supplies are going to be provided by the Parks Commission but please feel free to bring things that may make you comfortable such as leather work gloves, close toed shoes & eye protection. Remember you take on your own safety precautions when caching. The parks in the area have been great in providing us a place to "hunt" and it's time we return the favor.
Tickets for door prizes will be awarded for attendance in addition to "tasks completed". For example trash bags turned in, weeds picked and turned in, plants being planted, mulch being placed. Prizes include 2 unactivated geocoins. The Parks Commission will also be supplying some goodies to give away. Donations for door prizes will also be greatly appreciated.
