Every year, Keep America Beautiful encourages communities to host cleanup events throughout the spring from March to May as part of their annual Great American Cleanup. Join Keep Arlington Beautiful and the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department March 16th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Village Creek/GreenOaks Trail for this Great American Cleanup CITO. Stay for the entire event and earn a unique pathtag for your collection.
This project is sponsored as part of a 2012 Arlington Water Utilities Department settlement with the TCEQ where an agreement was reached to form a partnership with Arlington's Parks and Recreation Department and Keep Arlington Beautiful to assist in funding of litter and contaminate elimination programs throughout the community including programs targeted to prevent sanitary sewer overflows caused by improper fat, oil and grease disposal as well as severe weather, improper system operation and maintenance and vandalism.
