Come join us for lunch and participate in the voting for the best tasting chili in NE Illinois.
* All attendees are encouraged to bring a pot of their best tasting chili.
* It is not necessary to enter the contest in order to taste or participate in the vote.
* A few electrical outlets will be available to plug in crockpots.
* The fireplace in the shelter will be blazing.
* A charcoal grill is available (if needed, bring your own supplies).
* Disposable spoons and bowls will be provided. Please bring a serving spoon with your entry.
*Hot sauce, shredded cheese and crackers will also be on hand.
* Hot Chocolate too!!!
The Oakhurst Forest Preserve has three active caches, and there are dozens more within a few miles.
For planning purposes with your "will attend" log, please state if you will be submitting an entry in the contest.
