Geocache Description:

This 532-acre area provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for the public. The 10-acre lake has angling opportunities for large-mouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish. Only electric trolling motors, oars and paddles are allowed on all county owned lakes. There is a designated swimming beach area. Hiking trails offer opportunities to explore the marsh, native trees, shrub plantings, native prairies and food plots.

Two campgrounds, Bellamy and Riverside, offer 95 sites with electricity, water, modern restrooms and showers. Playground equipment is located near the campground. Four camping cabins are available for rental as well. Approximately 50 non-electrical campsites are located on the west side of the lake with access to modern restrooms and showers.

The Union Bridge Trail connects the park to the town of Correctionville with a ten foot wide concrete path that winds through scenic areas and crossing the Little Sioux River with a spectacular bridge.

There have been reports lately of fairy sightings here in this neck of the woods. To add to the experience, the coordinates N 42 26.922 W 95 48.229 will take you to the official entrance where there are guards standing watch for the fairies. We've laid out a path for you and the fairies to follow. The coordinates N 42 26.927 W 95 48.215 will lead you to the Fairyland Archway. You won't be far from the trail so be stealthy and watch out for muggles. We don't want them to scare away the fiaries, do we? In order to claim a find for this cache, you must, of course, sign the log found at the posted coordinates, but also please leave something shiny along the path for the fairies so they can find their way home.  This is a camo'd ice cream bucket with swag and a log book.  There is no pen/pencil so BYOP and have fun!
