This Cache is placed in the old town of Savage River. The ore that is mined here is Iron ore, which is produced into slurry here at Savage in the Concentrator mill, then pumped approx 86km to Port Latta to be made into pettets to be sold to steel makers across the world. The mineral was discovered in 1887 and production didn't start until 1966 and still going today.
Cache is an industrial made container 25mm X 50mm, becareful not to pich or squish ones fingers when retreving or replacing.
When finding this cache, please use car park, as there are road transport trucks and mine vehicles who use this area on a day to day basis, and be mindfull of workers who may be asleep due to the mine runs 365days 24hrs each day. Also plaese obey signage as the main mine road is monitored.
