Several years ago, in 2005/2006, a group of cachers met monthly at local coffee shops in south King County and north Pierce County for Caching Companions - Meet and Greet. Local cachers, as well as cachers visiting from out of town would meet and talk about caching, trade trackables, beg for puzzle hints and put a few faces to the many names that we see in the logs. After a few events the gatherings ended. A lot of us missed having those informal get togethers for local cachers, and it was the CampClan that brought them back.
The first gathering was on Sunday, December 2nd at the Panera Bread in Federal Way. We then rotated through locations in South Hill and Tacoma before returning to where it all began. And we've grown to need more than a couple tables pulled together. The March gathering will be on Sunday, March 10th at the Black Bear Diner. Please, no outside food or drink. Geocoins, new cachers, trackables and even muggles are welcome. We'll have prizes, a game or two, good food and plenty of time to share some caching stories.
Remember, Daylight Saving Time starts on the 10th. Yea, an extra hour of sunlight in the evening for even more caching fun!
