Take the front row seat for a view of the "Five Giant Nails" (see photo View from Cache), the Beijing Observation Tower, a new landmark in town (still under construction).
Direction: Take Subway Line 8.
Cache: A small metallic container, can hold mini size TB. Bring your own pen for the log.

Beijing Olympic Park Observation Tower （北京奥林匹克公园瞭望塔）
The Beijing 2008 Olympic is over, but the main venue the Olympic Green is still buzzing with visitors and new development.
It has been reported that, while the Observation Tower was planned for the Olympic, due to construction schedule, it was decided to delay the project, and a "temporary" structure closer to the current Olympic Stadium, the Ling Long Pagoda (玲珑塔) was build instead. As we can see today, it's sort of semi abandon, besides being a nice looking rainbow light display tower at night.
The 264.8m Observation Tower is build on the north end of the "Central Axis" (Zhongzhou Road 中轴线), aligning itself with some of the most important historic buildings in Beijing, namely Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Forbidden City, Meridian Gate, Tiananmen, etc.
On a good day, it's possible to see the tower from Jingshan (景山). I can't wait to go up the tower on a clear day (rare treats these days) for a view from the top.
