Geocache Description:

Last year was so much fun, we thought we'd do it again!

The Easter Bunny and Signal the Frog have teamed up and are returning to Mount Doug!!!

We invite you to join us Saturday, March 30th @1pm for some chocolatey Easter GPS fun.

This event is suitable for all ages. Everybody is welcome! Whether you have kids with you or not, you are welcome to attend. There will be a range of distances and trails to choose from.

There will be 2 events:

1:15pm Traditional Egg Hunt

For kids 5 and under. This egg hunt will be among the trees near the event coordinates. Please bring your baskets!

1:30pm GPS Egg Hunt (3 different routes)

When you arrive, please sign your team in and you will receive a set of coordinates for your stashes. Different teams will have different stashes to find, so there will be no race; everyone can take their time and just have fun. There will be lots of yummy stuff to find along the way as well as little plastic eggs you can collect and bring back to trade in for more chocolatey goodness. Each team will need at least 1 GPS with someone who knows how to manually input coordinates. I would suggest forming teams of 3-4 adults or 2-3 families with kids. Teams can be formed ahead of time or at the event.

Baby Bunnies: 800 meters, stroller friendly trail. Suggested for families with young kids.

Little Bunnies: 1.8 km. Relatively flat trail with some gentle ups and downs. Suggested for older kids and adults who want a shorter, easier route.

Big Bunnies: 3 km. Trail can be rocky & rooty, with elevation change. Suggested for adults.

There is no charge for the event, however, donations will be accepted to help with supplies.

When you log your “will attend”, please let us know how many kids and adults are in your party and which route(s) you plan to participate in (baby bunnies, little bunnies, big bunnies or traditional egg hunt) so we can prepare. Please RSVP by March 23rd.
