LAKE KEOMAH STATE PARK
(366 acres)
Allow the beauty of Lake Keomah State Park to soothe your mind. Find a shady picnic area with a lovely lake view to enjoy a picnic lunch. Take a leisurely afternoon to wander the trails along the shore, swim in the lake or cast a line from boat, pier or jetty. Open water, grasslands, deep woods and marshy areas provide habitat for a variety of interesting wildlife. Hikers on the scenic trails may catch a glimpse of bullfrogs blowing and puffing bass solos, great blue herons wading in the shallows or a covey of quail fleeing the sound of footsteps. As fall approaches, the trails are adorned with splendid colors as leaves change.
