Laugh-a-lot Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

colbinator: (Clearing throat sound.) The wire attaching the lid to the pipe, wasn't there to attach to the bobber. That's cheating...

Anyway, this one has had a good run, and time to shut it down. Thanks for all that enjoyed getting the bobber and attached log holder through various means, usually water....lol. Cache has been removed.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a small park with a lake beach in close proximity. The park is best known for its wayside picnic areas and shore fishing at the locks and dam. Canoes can be launched at the north end of the park below the locks and dams.

I first found a cache similar to this in Dubuque Iowa and thought, wow, this is pretty cool. So I’m replicating it here. The description from that cache was well written, so I’ll repeat most of it, with some minor editing.

This cache is meant to be challenging and fun. The idea was to go with a friend, use a little team work and get the cache out.   Please respect geocaches people place. This is meant to be fun for everyone. It's not fun for the person that comes upon a broken cache.
I created this to be a "team work" type of cache. That being said, even with team work, it will prove to be a bit of a bugger. This cache is not a hard cache to find, but it may prove to be hard to get out. If done PERFECTLY you will need 2 1/2 cups of water... unless it's the cold of winter... There are other ways to accomplish your goal, and one person could do it, but you will need other tools in your bag. Some possible tools you may choose to use include, but are not limited to the use of... a jug of water, more water, a stick, sticky tack, chop sticks, string, tape, a friend, TNT (joking about the TNT)...ect. some of these may help...some may not. If I leave this available in the winter, please be cautious with the use of water in freezing temps. Dryer methods are preferred to protect the cache.
I look forward to hearing what combination of tools you chose to use!
Please return the cache as found (log container down) so it works for others that come to find it.

If you find the cache broken or damaged, please log a “needs maintenance” log. If you feel the log holder needs a new o-ring, log that as “needs maintenance” also.  Lastly, your find log will be disqualified if you disassemble this cache or pull the stake out of the ground. You must sign the log to claim the smiley. Play fair! And lastly, please don't leave your "tools" behind, as they become park TRASH. Enjoy.
Good job to J&K&Kids for FTF!
