Meet fellow cachers and get questions answered.

Why BYOE?
The rental cost for park shelters keeps going up which makes hosting an event financially difficult.
If no one rents the shelter across the drive from GZ we can move there.  If we move to the shelter we will have a sign at GZ indicating so.
Additionally we will have a sign at the event location so you know you have found our group
.

Tell me more about the picnic:
Each team needs to sign the log to claim their attendance.

**We'll start some charcoal and keep grills hot so bring along something to grill if you'd like.
(How long will the grills be hot? Don't know. Depends on usage. )**

We're keeping things simple so please bring along your own beverages, utensils, plates, napkins.
We do not know if we will be able to use the shelter so bring seating for your group as well.

**Please bring a dish to pass**

In your "will attend" post please include the number of people who will attend and consider also including the category your dish to pass falls under (what it is if you already know) to assist others in knowing what we could use more of:
Main Dish
Veggie Salad
Pasta Salad
Snack/Appetizer
Dessert

Running water (drinking fountain and faucet) are available near GZ and at the shelter.
Playground and toilets are also near GZ.

There are several stores in Sussex so you could stop there for picnic things you need if you don't want to pack some things (or forgot).

There is parking available in front GZ, many spaces across the drive by the shelter, and even more down the hill from it.
A further parking location also listed just in case.....and it is closer to some of the caches in the park.
Alternate parking coordinates listed below.

*****Please do NOT park on the grass*****
Park on paved areas only. Don't risk a ticket.

Besides a picnic, this location has been chosen as you can do a little to a lot of caching while in the area.
There are several caches in this park and many within walking and biking distance; not to mention the numerous other caches and cache series in the area.
This park is adjacent to the Bugline Trail which goes from Merton to Menomonee Falls with caches all along the trail! The Bugline Recreation Trail is a 14-mile trail located on the former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad right-of-way.
At present, it stretches between Appleton Ave (S.T.H 175) in Menomonee Falls and Main Street (C.T.H. VV) in the Village of Merton.
Bring your bikes or go for a walk. Here's a link where you can see the caches and length of the trail: (visit link)
And a few more links about the Bugline Trail: (visit link)
The IAT, Ice Age Trail, and caches along it are also nearby.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Many of us will be at: WWFM X - May the 4th Be With You, GC3P6DQ,
prior to the start of the picnic.
Please join us there as well if you can.
