Geocache Description:

Baseball: America’s Pastime

Each year, the start of the baseball season signals that spring has arrived.

Baseball became an extremely popular sport during and just after the American Civil War. It was called "America's Pastime" because during the late 19th and early 20th century it was probably the most widely played sport in the country.

Whether you root for the hometown Milwaukee Brewers or have a different favorite team, enjoy thinking about... America’s pastime.

You never know who the next Major League star will be.

Enjoy the hunt!

Permission to place this geocache given by Brian Russart, Milwaukee County Parks Natural Areas Coordinator. Permit #292.

Parking is available around the park and on Kinnickinnic River Parkway. Jackson Park is open from sunrise to 10 pm.
