[CAT] Font del Mestre Pere
La Font del Mestre Pere (o “Font de na Pera”) és una surgència natural d’aigua de tipus vauclusià i de descàrrega brusca –similar a les Fonts Ufanes-, que forma una petita bassa temporal de gran valor ecològic. Des de l’època islàmica –quan era coneguda com a Font de Xilbar-, i junt amb altres fonts de la Tramuntana, abasteix d’aigua les principals possessions de la zona i la mateixa Ciutat de Mallorca. S’integra així en un complex sistema de síquies –on destaca la Síquia de na Cerdana- declarat Bé d’Interès Cultural pel Consell de Mallorca.
Aquest paratge sempre ha estat venerat pels veïns de Son Sardina i Sa Garriga, qui organitzaven tradicionalment una processó el diumenge després de Pasqua.
Actualment l’indret es troba amenaçat per un projecte urbanístic de gran envergadura, i la font és explotada de forma intensiva per EMAYA, entitat que extreu des del 1998 fins a 5 hm3 d’aigua a l’any. Però la declaració de BIC obre un raig d’esperança per a la seva recuperació.
Com arribar-hi?
- En cotxe: Aparca a les coordenades indicades, just al final de la part asfaltada del Camí de Passatemps. Camina fins al catxè durant mitja hora aproximadament.
- En bicicleta: Segueix el carril bici de la Carretera de Sóller fins la rotonda de Son Castelló. Després la senda ciclable del Camí de Passatemps fins Son Sardina. Continua per aquest camí, que després d'uns kilòmetres deixarà de ser asfaltat, fins les coordenades del catxè. Total: 45 min. aprox. per trajecte.
- En bus: Agafa la línia de l'EMT nº 12 i baixa a la darrera aturada del Camí de Passatemps. Continua caminant durant una hora aproximadament, fins les coordenades del catxè.
[ENG] “Mestre Pere” spring
The Font del Mestre Pere spring (or “Font de na Pera”) is a natural Vauclusian upwelling of water –similar to the famous Fonts Ufanes spring-, with abrupt discharge rates that form a small temporary pond of great ecological value. Since the Islamic era –when it was known as Xilbar spring-, and together with other sources in the North, it supplies water to the major farms in the area, and even the City of Majorca (Palma), as it is integrated to a complex system of ditches –like the Cerdana ditch- declared Cultural Property by the Island Council.
This place has always been revered by the residents of Son Sardina and Sa Garriga, who traditionally organized procession on the Sunday after Easter.
The site is currently threatened by a major development project, and the spring is exploited intensively by EMAYA –the local water company-, who extracts up to 5 hm3 annually since 1998. But the Cultural Property statement gives a ray of hope for its recovery.
How to get there
- By car: Stop your car near to the parking coordinates, at the end of the 'Camí de Passatemps'. Walk on the unpaved way about half an hour, until you reach the cache.
- On bike: Follow the bike lane of the Sóller road, and later the cyclable sidewalk of the 'Camí de Passatemps', until you arrive to Son Sardina. Continue this street, wich will become unpaved after a few kilometers, until you reach the cache. Estimated time: 45 min. each way.
- By bus: Take the municipal bus line nº 12 until the last bus stop of the 'Camí de Passatemps'. Then walk for about one hour until you reach the cache.
[DE] “Font del Mestre Pere” Quelle
Die Font del Mestre Pere Quelle (oder “Font de na Pera”) ist ein natürlicher vauclusischer Wasseraustritt
–ähnlich der berühmten Fonts Ufanes Quellen-, der durch plötzlichen sprudeln ein temporären Teich bildet, mit hohem ökologischen Wert. Seit der Araberzeit , und zusammen mit anderen Quellen im Norden, liefert sie Wasser auf die großen Betriebe in der Region, und auch an die Stadt von Mallorca (Palma) durch ein komplexes Kanalsystem –wie der Cerdana Kanal- das von der Inselregierung Geschütztes Kulturgut erklärt wurde.
Dieser Ort ist schon immer von den Bewohnern von Son Sardina und Sa Garriga verehrt wesen, und am Sonntag nach Ostern wurde ehemalig eine Prozession organisiert.
Der Platz ist derzeit von einem großen Entwicklungsprojekt bedroht, und die Quelle wird von EMAYA intensiv ausgeschöpft: seit 1998 extrahiert der lokale Wasserversorger bis 5 hm3 am Jahr. Aber der Kulturgut schutz bringt neue Hoffnungen Für seine Restaurierung.
Anfahrt
- Auto: Stoppen Sie Ihr Auto in der Nähe der Parkplatz-Koordinaten, am Ende des "Camí de Passatemps '. Gehen Sie auf den unbefestigten Weg etwa eine halbe Stunde, bis Sie den Cache erreichen.
- Fahrrad: Folgen Sie den Radweg der Straße von Sóller, und später den fahrbaren Bürgersteig des "Camí de Passatemps ', bis Sie in Son Sardina ankommen. Folgen Sie dann diese Straße, die nach wenigen Kilometern unasphaltiert bleibt, bis Sie den Cache erreichen. Geschätzte Zeit: 45 min. pro Strecke.
- Bus: Nehmen Sie die kommunale Buslinie nº 12 bis zur letzten Haltestelle des "Camí de Passatemps '. Dann für etwa eine Stunde zu Fuß bis Sie den Cache erreichen.
