Geocache Description:

Decatur's First Event ever!

Just a quick gathering in Decatur for the town's first ever event cache.

Sunday, May 19th, 8 am to 8:15

Decatur has never had an event cache before, so I decided it was about time that changed. Everyone is welcome to come out for a quick, 15 min morning meet & greet. This park has always seemed like a nice place to hold an event, so let's try it! If this is a success, perhaps it'll lead to a bigger event here in the future. So come on out and enjoy your fellow cacher's company for 15 mins before a day of caching. I'll probably provide a snack of some kind to be determined closer to event time.

Note: DO NOT Park along M-51! Take Mills Street north next to McDonalds off M-51 one block, then turn left (west) on St.Marys Street, and go the parking area for the park.

Afterwards, enjoy a nice afternoon of caching in the Van Buren or Cass County areas. A group of cachers is also planning to tackle the Dowagiac Creek and River series of kayak caches on this day. Bring your kayak/canoe if you wish to join along.
