#1 Manea Meander Traditional Geocache

A Circular walk in and around the village of Manea with panoramic views across the fens
We have chosen to start the circuit at the Purls Bridge RSPB reserve, where you will find parking and WCs. The reserve has a small but informative visitor centre which you might like to take a look at too. Take care and moderate your speed on the approach road to the reserve, it's VERY uneven!
The total walk is approximately 7 miles, but it can be split into two shorter circuits if you prefer, or if you are pressed for time - just turn right instead of left after cache #8. Some of the caches can be done as cache and dashes, and we have tried to include a variety of sizes and containers.
The route is mainly along Bridleways, Droves and quiet lanes so should be accessible at all times of year, although some parts may get muddy in winter. Some of the paths run parallel to water in places, but you do not need to get too close to recover any of the caches. It goes without saying that you should keep an eye on children and animals in these places
There are additional public WCs and parking in the village near to the recreation ground, if you prefer to start the circuit there, or need a comfort break en-route :)
Please bring your own pen; tweezers and gloves may prove handy too. Some of the cache sites will unfortunately be prone to nettles at certain times of year :(
Head out of the car park away from the reserve. A fingertip search may be required
