Lylah's Marsh #2 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

crittermonkeys: It appears that this GZ is no longer a good spot, so we have to archive this one. Maybe later this summer we'll scout some more hides in the Marsh.

Geocache Description:

Lylah's Marsh is a scenic spot hidden away in the countryside of Howard County, Iowa. If you find your way out here, stop and enjoy the scenery as you go on a nice walk between these caches.

Lylah's Marsh is named after Lylah Tidgwell Cook, who, with her husband Ward, gave the land to the people of Howard County, Iowa in 1962. This area is a 140-acre wildlife area, centered on a beautiful 60-acre man-made marsh. There is a paved recreational trail that runs to the park, and the area is good for fishing and hunting. You can also make use of a nice picnic shelter (with primitive facilities).

Cache is an upcycled PB jar.

Permission has been requested from the Howard County Conservation Board.
