This cache is placed with permission in Lyon Oaks County Park. Lyon Oaks in Wixom, preserves 800 acres of environmentally-sensitive wetlands within a 1,041-acre park. The day-use area includes a picnic shelter, playground and recreation fields. There are approximately 6 miles of trails for biking, cross-country skiing and on-leash dog walking and of course Geocaching. Park hours are approximately 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset unless otherwise marked. The park is open daily, year-round (except Christmas day, when only the Dog Park is open). The Banquet Center is also open year-round.
