Rawnsley Bluff has numerous caches, but its sister feature, the beautiful and more easily climbed Uloudra Range only has Clem Squared Corner (GC837E) and Raven's Nest (GC3NCZA).
But why stop there? Despite suggestions that other cachers could place additional caches along the range, no new ones have appeared... until now!
An offer to take Sushilord to Raven’s Nest quickly turned into a new cache placement on the next peak. It’s still a reasonably easy climb for those (like Owl) who are unable to manage Rawnsley Bluff and it offers 360 degree views of the nearby ranges.
Sushilord found the perfect spot and Owl supplied the cache. Just start at Raven’s Nest (or Clem Squared Corner) and keep going!
The cache has been upgraded to a small systema.
Serious walkers can still continue to or consider planting their own caches at Pines Cave and/or Kangaroo Gap to provide a full day of hiking and caching. Failure to do so may inspire Owl to consider further placements next year.
