At the edge of town water streams out
Opis:
Description:
In the ancient part of Iliriska Bistrica is hidden a nice path leading to the waterfall. Most of the year only jets of water are falling from moss cowered stones, so the waterfall got his suitable name – Sušec (The Dry one).
From the main square (Plac) you take direction towards the oldest part of the town. You can admire picturesque old houses literary hanging over small river Bistrica. Path to the waterfall is marked and ant takes you between the streets. You just follow the signs and walk on the path.
Sušec is a Karst spring, appearing only in rain periods. In dry season it nearly disappears. But in his full glory, you can admire a fan of wild water falling down on mossy stones. All the lucky ones, who saw the waterfall in his full strength agree, that it is worth to be seen. If you are in this town in spring or autumn, when the most rain is falling, you will be suprised, that the watherfall is so beautifull. Even, if you have a bad luck, and Sušec would be dry, spend 20 minutes to visit this romantic place on the edge of the town.
