Geocache Description:




Each year, hot air balloons converge on Albany at the end of the summer as part of the ATI Northwest Art & Air Festival, held at Timber Linn Memorial Park. (SEE RELATED PAGE ABOVE)



The Albany Visitors Association is again sponsoring the ALBANY ART & AIR CHALLENGE III to be held Saturday, August 24, in conjunction with the ATI Northwest Art & Air Festival. The Challenge begins at 10am at Timber Linn Memorial Park. A challenge course has been laid out and each caching household will be issued a challenge passport when they check in at the geocaching stage in the park. The course has been carefully laid out so that you will also have the opportunity to find caches in the area.



150 coins have been designed for this event and each passport (one per household) will guarantee a coin.

Completed passports can be brought to Albany Pizza King, 231 Lyons Street SE (N44 38.161 W123 06.270) between 3:00 and 6:00pm the day of the event. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A ONE-DAY EVENT.





Again this year, the Albany Visitors Association has donated the door prize which will be given away in a drawing to be held at 6:00pm at Albany Pizza King. This year's doorprize will be dinner for two at one of Albany's outstanding restaurants. All those completing the challenge will be eligible and you don't have to be present to win. Last years winner was broken0007 from Corvallis.
