I hid this cache on a fairly warm day, there was a light breeze, so not too bad. This was my first real kayaking experience, and one that was enjoyable. I was accompanied by the dameetro crew, chimps8mybaby, and GPS_Cache_Hounds. I felt that I did pretty well for a first timer, the others may have felt different. I didn't fall in, and I don't think I held the others up too much. The cache is an ammo can with a lock on it. It is off of a side channel from the main river. The coordinates are for the landing site, the cache is about twenty or so feet into the foliage. Of course the water height is subject to change due to flooding. I got stuck a couple of times trying to place the cache. I couldn't hear the others, but I am sure that behind my back they were snickering. They all opted to come back at a later date to claim the find. Don't wait too long though, because dameetro may get impatient and come for the first to find. I left some good caching tools in the can, first to find gets one to two items of their choosing for the prize. Thank you to the ones who came along with me, I hope to have many other kayaking trips with you and others. Time for a revision, since I'm an idiot and placed it to close to the railroad tracks, I had to make a second trip and move it. The second trip consisted of chimps8mybaby and GPS_Cache_Hounds. Guess what, now it's harder than the original location. Now it is Snaking Between 51 and 55 and Beyond.
Congratulations to GPS_Cache_Hounds for his valiant efforts to obtain FTF! I too have felt this feeling of exhaustion and hopelessness in the quest for a cache, only to still have to make the trek back after the find.
