Rocky River (Bay of Plenty) Traditional Cache

This is part of the Esplanade reserve next to the Ohourere Stream, which in part gets used for Tauranga water supply. The parking is near a nice swimming hole, but to find this cache you will need to walk a short way down stream

Please be careful when when crossing the river. If it has been raining the water levels can get quite high. If you are not sure take a look at our pictures in the gallery (you will only need to get your feet wet).

The geo co-ordinates will take you across the river, and near a tree. That is a great place to start looking. 

YOU WILL NEED TO CROSS A RIVER. TOGS ARE NOT REQUIRED 
 
This one is a a real challenge, but well worth it. As always, if you enjoy it consider making it a favorite.

The parking is on the right hand side of the Crawford road (the river side ). If you are coming from Tauranga, your park 300 meters from the bridge (that crosses the Ohourere Stream) on the right hand side. There is a gate that makes it easier, otherwise you will need to jump over the fence.
