Geocache Description:

This cache is placed with the permission and at the request of the Green Lake Conference Center.

Is this a Wisconsin Champion Tree? It could be. This tree has been measured but its measurements have yet to be registered. It could be in the running for State Champion of its species.

According to a local botanist this is a Crack Willow (Salix fragilis) sometimes know as Brittle Willow. This species is native to Europe and Western Asia. It is named for the sound its twigs make when they break off. It is common to wet areas as it can be found by rivers and lakes.

This cache is a very quick grab and go. Please use much stealth as it is in a wide open high traffic area, especially in the busy summer months.
