August is being celebrated by geocachers around the world as the “31 Days of Geocaching.” Find a geocache, log a “Found it” (or an “Attended” for an Event Cache) and earn a unique calendar-style Geocaching souvenir for each day in August. That’s 31 souvenirs up for grabs! This is just a way to help out and hopefully do something different.
Here is the breakdown of the event:
12:00 PM: Sign the log then grab some paper and start folding. I will have origami paper and diagrams for basic traditional models. Due to limited time we won’t be able to do anything too time consuming. That means no dragon puzzles folks!
12:15 PM: Get in line for some of the tastiest sandwiches and sausages in the area! Trust me, you will want to arrive hungry!
12:30 PM: Origami give away to one lucky attendee.
There is seating inside and out so this will be an all-weather event but it gets pretty busy around lunch time so it might be cramped if we all end up inside. If parking becomes scarce there is an overflow lot just south of Johnson Drive. I hope to see you there!
