In the mid 60s the local television stations; WHO, WOI, KDIN and KRNT were looking to build taller transmission towers to reach out further and serve more viewers. After much study and deliberation there was one area that satisfied the FCC, the FAA and the needs of the stations. This area was near the town of Alleman.
