HISTÓRIA
A 2 de Outubro de 1921 foi fundada a Sociedade Benemérita de Queluz, em resposta ao grande Movimento Nacional de Humanitarismo e Solidariedade que percorreu o País. A sociedade foi mais tarde autorizada ao desempenho de missões de socorro, a 23 de Novembro de 1923.
Dispondo apenas da vontade generosa de um reduzido grupo de Queluzenses e de meios rudimentares de acção, os Bombeiros Voluntários de Queluz, à falta de instalações apropriadas, guardaram os primeiros equipamentos e viaturas em instalações do antigo Palácio de Queluz.
A mudança e expansão das instalações marcam o crescimento da Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Queluz no quadro da comunidade queluzense. A inauguração do novo quartel em 1977 viria finalmente dotar a associação de um novo e moderno espaço de actuação, deixando o Largo Mouzinho de Albuquerque.
A partir de 1980, teve lugar uma recolha de arquivos, diverso material respeitante à história dos Bombeiros, e selecção do valioso espólio hoje exposto no Museu da Associação, entretanto criado. Trata-se de um espaço onde a história dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Queluz e dos acontecimentos mais marcantes surge como parte integrante da própria História da Comunidade Queluzense.
Na década de 90 foi possível iniciar e concluir uma ampliação e remodelação do Quartel. Sede onde os espaços existentes e outros para o efeito adquiridos, deram lugar a uma total modernização dos serviços hoje panteados nas amplas e funcionais instalações. Complementando as funções básicas confiadas aos Bombeiros, em matéria de socorro, a Associação desenvolve desde há longos anos as seguintes actividades:
- Posto Clínico
- Posto de Socorros
- Modalidades de Ginástica, Manutenção, Dança e Ballet
- Museu
- Biblioteca
- Secção Desportiva do Corpo de Bombeiros
- Apoio Jurídico aos Associados.
Projectada e construída de acordo com as normas em vigor, a Casa Escola Comandante Jacinto Garcia desempenha uma função fundamental na formação do Corpo de Bombeiros.
Integrada nas Comemorações do 75º Aniversário teve lugar a inauguração do Monumento ao Bombeiro, no Jardim situado em frente ao Quartel.

Esta cache vem dar a conhecer o espaço e edifícios dedicados inteiramente aos Bombeiros Voluntários de Queluz, querendo celebrar este corpo de bombeiros que dedicam o seu tempo a ajudar-nos desde há largos anos.
A cache localiza-se nas proximidades do Quartel, nomeadamente da zona de entrada e saída dos veículos de emergência.

HISTORY
On October 2nd, 1921, the “Sociedade Benemérita de Queluz” was founded, in response to the great National Movement for Humanitarianism and Solidarity which traveled the country. The society was later authorized to perform rescue missions,in November 23rd, 1923.
With only the generous will of a small group of people and rudimentary means of action, the Fire Department of Queluz, due to the lack of appropriate facilities and equipment kept the first vehicles in the facilities of the old Palace of Queluz.
The change and expansion of facilities marks the growth of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Queluz within the community. The inauguration of the new headquarters in 1977 would finally give the association a new and modern performance space, leaving the Mouzinho Albuquerque square behind.
In 1980, the collection of files, diverse material relating to the history of the Fire, and selection of valuable collection began to take place, and is now exhibited at the Museum Association. It’s a space where history of the Fire Department of Queluz and most remarkable events is shared.
In the 90's it was possible to start and complete an expansion and remodeling of the Barracks. Headquarters where the spaces and other acquired for the purpose, gave way to a complete modernization of services in today’s functional and spacious facilities. Complementing the basic functions entrusted to firefighters in providing assistance, the Association has developed, for many years, the following activities:
- Clinical Tour
- Tour Aid
- Arrangements Gymnastics, Maintenance, Dance and Ballet
- Museum
- Library
- Sports Section of the Fire Department
- Legal Support Associates.
Designed and constructed in accordance with the rules in force, the Home School Commander Jacinto Garcia plays a key role in the formation of the Fire Department.
During the 75th Anniversary Celebrations, the inauguration of a monument dedicated to the firefighters took place at the garden in front of the main entrance of the Barracks.
CACHE:
This cache is dedicated entirely to the space and buildings of the Volunteer Firefighters of Queluz, wanting to celebrate their courage and dedication to help us all, whenever necessary. The cache is located near the Barracks, positioned near the inlet and exit of emergency vehicles.
