The location of Sv. Ilija cache was found by coincidence on our way to the Gospa o Sniga cache. The way of from Seget Donji is the most beautiful, but can be very hard in summer when temperatures reach up to 40C. The other route is easy by car and only a short walk.
We decided to create this cache when we got here after hike up here from Seget Donji. The location of Sv. Ilija cache was found by coincidence on our way to the Gospa o Sniga cache. The way of from Seget Donji is the most beautiful, but can be very hard in summer when temperatures reach up to 40C. There is very little shade on the south side of the steep hill. You can park (P1) the car on the northside of the road N8 from Split to Marina (exit Trogir / Seget Donji) at N43 31.461 E16 13.583. This road was created by Napoleon II to have a connection with the inlands from Trogir. The easy way is to take the next exit N58, an drive almost up tot the foot of the hill (P2) at N 43 31.766, E 16 13.417. At the top of the hill you find the Gospa Ilija chapel and a wonderful view from Split to Marina. There is a lot of shade on top. Tip: Bring a lot of water in the summer.
