Geocache Description:

The cache is currently a black nano at the intersection of Park Rd & Mt. Pleasant St. Help keep this from being muggled (3 times now) by replacing as found - in the bottom left hand corner of the metal frame as you look at the back of the info board.

From March 1862 – August 1865, there was a hospital on this site. It treated over 5,000 civil war soldiers during May and June 1864.

The MtP Series highlights Mt. Pleasant a.k.a. “Village in the City”. Four of the five stops coincide with the Mt. Pleasant Heritage Trail - a self guided walking tour with historic markers packed with historic and cultural info. A couple also coincide with MtP’s Art on Call installations – historic fire and police call boxes restored in an artful way. Mt. Pleasant St. has several Heritage Trail sites as well as a bunch of eating establishments.

Congrats to ToddDC for the FTF and the first to log all 5 stops of the MtP series!
