For the last several years, everytime I drive by this prominent hill I think "that would be a great place for a geocache." I finally decided to make the trek, and was rewarded beyond my expectations. After a short but very difficult bushwack from the south, I saw tremendous views on a beautiful day. I also learned that there truly is something special about this hilltop.
I parked on Bear Flats Road and hiked in from the southeast, but I'm not sure that parking on highway 260 and climbing up the northeast slope wouldn't have been easier, as I had to fight through thick brush and manzanita. Somewhere on the trek is the waterbottle that was torn from my pack.
The cache is not hidden on top, but in a group of rocks slightly down and to the east. It shouldn't be a hard find, especially if you take the spoiler picture with you.
