Old Elk Lake is a 90 acre lake located in Dunn County. It has a maximum depth of 6 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from one public land or park within 1000 feet of the lake (Muddy Creek Wildlife Area).
Apparently this gives access to Old Elk Lake by foot travel only but when you follow the trail down to the lake there is a high fence blocking access. You could launch a canoe but the new fence blocks access to the main lake.
Walking through the tall grass made feel like raptors where ready to attack at any time.
Cache is located in the parking area.
Roll up the log and place it in the cap then screw on the base.
