If attempting this cache during times of vegetative growth, it's highly recommended that you wear long pants. If there is not snow on the ground you can park within 175 feet of the cache and bushwack from there. The best place to park and enter the timber is N42 55.221 W091 55.692 for the path of less resistance. The cache is still accessible in the winter, but you will have to park at the road but the walk will only be an additional 175 feet.
I have thought that this spot has needed a cache for several years. Whenever out exploring this area, I always take a step back and think about how far technology has come over the years. It's hard to imagine what it would have been to grow up in the same era as this beacon! This cache is located on property that has been in the family for over 100 year and is placed with permission of my father who is also a geocacher (mnbeekeeper).
